Church History

ZION CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF CHATHAM 

Started out with a vision that a handful of people had back in December of 1988. Those precious people sought The Lord for a work that would be involved in a deeper revelation of Praise and Worship, and also a fellowship that would preach and teach the message of Jesus Christ.

After much prayer, it was decided in March of 1989, to start an informal in-home Bible Study in Chatham. We met weekly on Tuesday evenings, growing out of the living room, growing out of the basement and then meeting at The Chatham Christian High School for 3 years. 

In September 1989 we began Sunday morning services.

 After meeting in various facilities over the last twelve years, we now have a church home. This wonderful 6,000 square foot facility rests on 5 acres of land, with plans for expansion in the years to come.

We are a registered Church Ministry with the province of Ontario and federal government of Canada. We are also affiliated with the "Independent Assemblies Of God International Canada."
